ABBOTABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa on Thursday visited the Baloch Reigmental Centre in Abbottabad where he paid rich tribute to the martyrs who had lost their lives for Pakistan.
He was received by Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. Pakistan Military Academy Commandant Major General Abdullah Dogar was also present during the army chief’s visit.
According to the ISPR, the army chief placed a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Baloch Regiment.
The top general said that he had a very special attachment with the Baloch Regiment as he was a second generation officer, his father was also a member of the regiment.
During the visit, the army chief met officers and recruits who were undergoing training at the Baloch Regimental Centre and spoke to them. He stated that Pakistan Army would continue to contribute towards national security and said that the nation comes first before any individual or institution.
