NAUDERO: The terminated employees of District Council, Larkana, held a large protest outside Bhutto House in Naudero on Thursday. The demo was held under the banner of District Council Workers Union and the protesters also staged a sit-in for the acceptance of their demands. Muhammad Bux Soomro, Nadim Shaikh, Imtiaz Abbasi, Mumtaz Pitafi, Sajjad Pechuho, Aamir Tagar, Sharif Shaikh, Mukhtiar Wagan and others while talking to the media stated that their protest & sit-in has been continuing since Wednesday evening when the PPP leaders were observing the 64th birthday of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto but nobody has as yet contacted them. They revealed that as many as 290 employees have been fired due to ‘bogus appointments’. They had been performing their duties for the last five years regularly for which they were also paid salaries. They demanded officials to take notice of the matter and reinstate them. They warned that their protest shall continue till their demands are accepted.
