KARACHI: Drug smuggling and human-trafficking have been reduced due to the efforts of Pakistan Coast Guards, said Vice Admiral Kaleem Shaukat while addressing a passing out parade at the Pakistan Coast Guard Training Centre in Karachi on Saturday.
He said that Pakistan Coast Guards was considered an important force. “They are sent to various boundaries of the country to protect them. All branches of the armed forces are doing their best to safeguard the frontiers of the country. We are one and united under the flag of Pakistan,” he said.
Shaukat appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Coast Guards Director General Brig Ateequr Rehman for organising such an event.
High-ranking officials of the Sindh Rangers, the Airport Security Force, the Sindh Police and distinguished personalities from various walks of life also attended the event. At least 164 recruits participated in the parade.
Asad Zeeshan secured the first position, Muhammad Humayun Ashraf bagged the second position, while Ali Raza got the third position
The chief guest inspected the parade along with Brig Ateequr Rehman and distributed awards and prizes.
