LAHORE: Football enthusiasts from The City School (Ravi and Boulevard campuses, Lahore) have qualified to play in the Under-19 Olympic International Games Boys 2017.
The event will take place from July 27 to August 3 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. “These 17 year olds will be representing Pakistan in the tournament, and have been provided with Pakistan Team blazers by the Pakistan Student’s Olympics Association.
“We are thrilled by the idea of flying abroad for our passion,” said Sajawal Ali Sohail. “Representing Pakistan at an international forum is a huge opportunity, and we cannot thank The City School enough for its endless support in both curricular and co-curricular activities, which has enabled us to study and play sport to the highest standards “
Students from around the world will be competing in football, judo, wrestling, and athletic championships. The City School team is a renowned team already having won countless school tournaments. Coach Asgher Khan Anjum believes that his team has the talent and the right mindset to bring back the trophy for their country.
