ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday acclaimed his party’s remarkable achievement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in alleviating poverty.
In a series of tweets, Kaptaan said, “Remarkable achievement of PTI – first time in govt. Our priority was poverty alleviation not simply showcase mega roads’ projects.”
The skipper added, “PTI’s success in KP’s poverty reduction was the result of many initiatives: merit based recruitment created a level playing field for all. Better public schools & reformed health service in govt hospitals; health cards for the poor.”
He said, “Micro-hydel projects in remote areas providing cheap elec for local ppl; environment-friendly BillionTreeTsunami providing jobs to locals.”
“A professional depoliticized police force which has created a more secure environment & has drawn investment into KP.”
According to details issued by PTI’s media cell, Kaptaan said that the provincial government’s priority was “poverty alleviation not simply showcase mega roads’ projects”.
