PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday obtained nomination papers to contest the upcoming general elections from NA-125 in Lahore.
It is the same constituency where her mother Kulsoom Nawaz won by-election in October last year after the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, who was elected an MNA on the seat in 2013.
Though she has obtained nomination papers, Maryam has yet to announce her candidature from the constituency.
During the by-election in the constituency last year, the campaign for Kulsoom Nawaz was led by Maryam since the former was hospitalised in London after her cancer diagnosis.
