ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif took notice of the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) poor performance on Saturday.
The PM expressed dissatisfaction over the capital city’s uncleanliness. Nawaz pointed out that the cleanliness of Islamabad was the CDA’s responsibility and it took insufficient measures to complete this task.
The PM’s Office issued a warning letter to the CDA’s chairman in this matter. The letter asked about the person responsible for the unclean and filthy environment of Islamabad, which included faulty street lights and too many encroachments.
The letter added that the public parks of capital are in a bad shape and they haven’t been taken care of, blaming the CDA for pollution in the city. Nawaz sought clarification from the CDA chairman before January 5.
