KARACHI: At least eight suspects have been rounded up, while a huge cache of drugs and weapons have also been recovered during search operations in different areas of Karachi.
On a tip-off, Rangers personnel raided Sachal, Gulshan-e-Mehmar and Orangi Town areas on Thursday and rounded up eight suspects.
Rangers’ spokesperson said that the detainees were identified as Mohammad Ismail, Imam Bangash, Zubair and Gulam Haider from Sachal area. Rangers claimed to have recovered huge cache of drugs and weapons from suspects’ possession.
Meanwhile, the Rangers claimed to have arrested two Afghans from Orangi Town area, while a robber group member Mohammad Rahim was arrested from Gulshan-e-Mahmar area.
The suspects have been handed over to police for further legal action.
