KARACHI: Karachi University (KU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan took notice of news reports regarding the issue of librarian demanding money for signing forms and directed the library in charge to immediately investigate the matter and present its report.
After conducting the investigation, the library in charge presented a report that states that every student has to settle all the dues in order to get the clearance and the clearance has to be taken from different department including the seminar library.
They said that the student had outstanding dues at the library seminar of the department of international relations. At which the librarian insisted that the student clears the fine as the clearance can only be given after all the dues are paid, which was not done in the said case.
Therefore, this news is baseless and presents the false story, the statement concluded.
