KARACHI: Education activist and youngest-Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai on Thursday showed her interest in reading the book ‘Durrand Line ka Qaidee’ (Prisoner of Durrand Line), written by a Karachi-based journalist.
This journalist was captured by the Afghanistan’s law-enforcement agencies when he attempted to cross the Afghan border in 2014 to interview leaders of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) without a visa. Malala thanked Khan on Twitter for sending the book and expressed best wishes for him. Khan wrote back about Malala and discussed exclusive information regarding the book with her.
Malala had also played a leading role in the release of Faizullah. Following the plea of Malala Yousafzai, the journalist was released by Afghan President Hamid Karzai on his last day as president of the country.
