CHAMAN: Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Amir Riaz on Sunday said that the Pakistan army had to destroy four to five Afghan posts after Afghan forces attempted entering Pakistan.
“Anyone who tries to make Pakistan’s territory disputed will face similar consequences” Riaz said while speaking to media after visiting the injured of Chaman firing incident at the Chaman Civil Hospital.
The commander said that attempts to enter Pakistan were a “foolish mistake” which was not beneficial for both countries. “The border will remain closed till Afghanistan changes its behaviour” Lt Gen Riaz said.
He said that the incident occurred two days ago at Chaman was irresponsible mischief by Afghanistan, adding that in the irresponsible mischief the person commits this face more loss. He said that this is not in favour of Afghanistan, adding that he is hopeful that the Afghan leadership will review these matters because the Afghan people will face more loss due to this situation. He said that this situation is not in favour of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Lieutenant General Amir Riaz said that he is not feeling happy while telling that Pakistan had to destroy four to five check posts of Afghanistan and cause harm to Afghan forces. He said that Afghan forces tried to enter Pakistan, adding that this is not acceptable in any circumstances. Amir Riaz congratulated the people of Chaman and thanked them for facing Afghan aggression bravely. Riaz said that he is not happy over the loss of Afghanistan. He said that it was need of Pakistan that if anyone will try to enter Pakistan we will certainly cause harm to him.
He said that many people sitting in Islamabad and other places are looking after the situation. He said that whosoever has committed this act, it was irresponsible mischief and both countries will not benefit from this. He said that flag meeting with Afghan officials will bring certainly results but Pakistani territory and area is non-negotiable. He said that if anyone will try to create dispute while entering Pakistani territory he will be responded the same manner which was given to them two days ago.
He said that the Afghan people would also understand that without any reason there is no need to make something disputed. He said that Pakistani territory and Pakistani area is non-negotiable. He said that whosever will try to enter in Pakistani area he will be given same response which was given to Afghanistan two days ago.
He said whosoever will try to enter Pakistan will have to face loss. He said that Pak-Afghan border at Bab-e-Dosti will remain shut until and unless Afghanistan improves its attitude. He said that the irresponsible behaviour is not in favour of Afghanistan.
