ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Naeem-ul-Haque said that the Prime Minister House has become a center of forgery. He said next week Nawaz Sharif will not remain Prime Minister, adding that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) should nominate new person for PM post on Thursday.
The spokesman expressed his views while talking to media outside the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, and said the apex court is aware that PM Nawaz is doing fraudulent activities, and has become adamant in saving his premiership.
Naeem-ul-Haque said that a criminal case should be lodged against Nawaz Sharif, and an exemplary punishment should be given to him. He said that the PM broke records by lying in front of the nation. PTI Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry remarked that the documents submitted as evidence by the government in the Panama case hold no legal value.
“The documents should be used to make toys for children,” he said while speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court on Thursday. The government is trying its best to hide the crimes of Nawaz Sharif, he claimed, adding “the court will punish the criminal for sure.” We are waiting for the verdict just like others, he added.
After Thursday’s hearing concluded, Chaudhry remarked that the case is going to reach its logical conclusion. He said “the prime minister will go home and his children will be imprisoned.” “The father [Nawaz] will be disqualified for 10 years, while his children will be sentenced to jail for 14 years. The inquiry and investigation of the case has been completed, just the verdict remains,” he added.
Moreover, Chaudhry said if the case is sent to the accountability court then there will be only two options: arrest of the prime minister and his family or them seeking bail. “Do you expect the sitting premier to go to courts daily to secure bail for himself?” he remarked. He further said that the Supreme Court also hinted towards the fake documents submitted by Maryam and Hussain Nawaz. It is possible that they can be jailed for seven years over this, he claimed.
Chaudhry also claimed that the prime minister’s son-in-law has no legal counsel. It was asked in the court who is representing captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, to which the response came that he has no legal representation, recalled the PTI leader.
