GUJRANWALA: Cases against eight government officials, including an assistant commissioner, have been registered in an anti-corruption department for corruption, forgery and misuse of powers.
It was stated that inquiries against assistant commissioner Munawar Hussain, Gardawar Muhammad Saleem, Patwari Faiz Ali, Shafqat Raza, SHO Irfan Saleem, Patwari Nazir Ahmed, revenue clerk Sarfraz Ahmed, Tubwell operator Umer Farooq have been completed by the circle officers in which inquiry officers wrote that allegations levelled against these officials were found correct and in the light of the enquiry reports director anti corruption Muhammad Ilyas Gill has ordered to register cases against the said officials.
Infant dies: A baby died before birth due to allegedly negligence of doctors of DHQ hospital while the family protested against the paramedics and demanded action against the doctors. It was stated that Mehreen resident of Farid Town was shifted to DHQ Hospital for a delivery case last night. The family alleged that doctors did not operate on her in time due to which the baby died in the womb of the mother, while patient Mahreen also was in serious condition. After the protest the hospital administration immediately shifted the patient Mahreen to the operation theatre and started her medical treatment.
