ISLAMABAD: The Panama Leaks case resumed hearing on Thursday headed by a five-member bench led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
Continuing his arguments, Maryam Nawaz’s counsel Shahid Hamid presented before the court the replies of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz.
Shahid Hamid put forth the argument that married women were not dependent on their parents.
He presented before the court various business interests held by the Qatari prince Hamad bin Jassim along with a letter dated December 22, 2016 which clarifies the questions raised in connection with the prince’s earlier letter.
The prince’s letter outlines that business in the Gulf with the Sharif family was conducted on cash basis and highlights the details of how shares were distributed among the business partners in 2005.
An affidavit by Tariq Shafi was also presented which outlines how the AED 12 million were deposited with Fahad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani of Qatar on instructions of Mian Muhammad Sharif.
Along with these details, a transcript of Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s TV interview was also submitted before the Supreme Court.
