QUETTA: Police on Sunday, foiled a terror bid, defusing a five Kg bomb.
According to the police, militants planted a bomb in a cement block and placed it at vacant post of FC along Pod Gallichowk. A patrolling party of the police reached, saw the block and lifted it. It fell from his hand and he found a small bucket fitted with a wire in the block.
Upon this revelation, police immediately blocked all traffic on the road and called Bomb Disposal Squad. Civil Defence Technical team reached spot and defused the bomb. It was a remote control bomb with four circuits and it was 5 Kg weight.
