KARACHI: Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Karachi has adopted the paper free modern system of education that is being used in universities around the world. This was stated by MAJU Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Director Dr Munir Hussain while addressing a workshop on strategic management of higher education system for quality betterment.
The workshop was largely attended by heads of department and senior faculty members. Hussain said, “In this system, all of our education system is converting to its base facilities. This will enhance our quality of teaching and learning. Now we can develop our curriculum and educational programme in good manners and map the programs for the courses very well.”
He added they may forecast the need of educational programmes through quantities analysis and make more comprehensive strategic decisions for educational advancement. On the occasion, Dr Munir Hussain introduced the newly adopted educational and learning resources to the faculty members. “During this training session, the participants through different activities learned the model of Blooms Taxonomy and objective-based education in the light of newly introduced system.”
It is mentioned here that the Quality Enhancement Cell was established in MAJU last year. Headed by Dr Munir Hussain, the Quality Assurance Agency of Higher Education Commission (HEC) has already ranked it to its highest “W” category recently.
