KARACHI: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) recovered a huge cache of weapons on Tuesday from Go Aish Park’s storeroom beside University Road. According to reports, the terror groups were planning to conduct a major terror attack in Sindh’s provincial capital.
A spokesperson for Rangers stated that the weapons were hidden by MQM London’s leader Muhammad Anwar’s son-in-law, adding that the arms could have been used to disturb Karachi’s peace.
The action was taken after receiving secret information. The weapons put in sacks were hidden in underground storeroom of the park. The cache contained one MMG gun, 18 SMG guns, two repeaters, six 7mm rifles, twenty thousand bullets, 10 explosives, four hand grenades and more.
