KARACHI: Teenage boy Muhammed Ahmed has strted speaking following his third successful surgery.
Last November, Ahmed was tortured by his teacher at Larkana Cadet College. He was rendered mute and paralysed.
According to doctors he was strangulated and suffered breakdown of his sensitive nerves. Ahmed’s father Ghullam Ahmed brought him to Karachi after he failed to get treatment in Larakana.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah approved his treatment and directed the health department to make necessary travel arrangements for Ahmed and his father. He was then taken to the United States for medical treatment.
On Friday, Ahmed showed his patriotism in a video message saying, “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad”.
He added, “Please pray that my voice gets better so that I can come home and resume my studies.”
Ahmed’s condition seems to be visibly better.
