Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan condemned and asked for serious and strict action to be taken against the culprits behind the lynching of a Mashal Khan.
Imran Khan took to twitter to express his grief and urged for strict action against the heinous act which has become routine now, saying that the ‘law of the jungle’ cannot and should not prevail anymore.
Imran said he was in touch with IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the incident.
He tweeted, “Am in touch with KP IG since last night on condemnable lynching of student in Mardan. Firm action necessary. Law of the jungle can’t prevail,”

Mashal was chased and beaten to death over allegations of blasphemy by an angry mob of students on Thursday. Five others were injured in the clash once the mob resorted to firing.
The deceased, Mashal Khan, was a student of Mass Communication at the Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan.
The police have taken over 20 people in custody relating to the incident.
