KARACHI: Police claimed to have taken 40 alleged criminals from different areas Karachi in custody on Wednesday.
A police team carried out a raid in Jauharabad area and detained an alleged target killer, Umar Farooq, who was stated to be affiliated with a political party.
Police also claimed to have recovered a TT pistol and bullets from his possession.
Meanwhile, police arrested 30 accused during a raid in Bilal Colony, Shahrah-e-Noor Jehan and Rasheedabad, and shifted them to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
During a search operation in New Karachi’s Bilal Colony, Soldier Bazaar police nabbed nine alleged criminals and recovered weapons and a motorbike from their possession.
The police have also registered cases against the detained criminals and started further investigations into the respective cases.
