KARACHI: Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said the nefarious designs of enemies of peace in Karachi will be frustrated.
“the evil designs of anti peace elements in Karachi will be thwarted. Rangers are not confronting foreign forces but also it is facing certain enemies in the guise of friends. Hurdles are created by making the extension of powers to Rangers as basis after every three months. This practice should be stopped now”, he said this while addressing passing out parade ceremony of Rangers here Saturday.

There is need to laud their services rather than criticizing them, he underlined. Forces are not only facing the extortionists and criminals but also they are facing foreign forces, he added. There are certain enemies of ours in the guise of friends, he held. Forces have to serve the people too besides operation, he stated. They have to move forward successfully in the war for winning over the hearts of the people.
“if there is peace in Karachi, there will be peace in the country. If there is peace in Karachi then the designs of the enemies will stand thwarted. Rangers have authored a new history of valour. Karachi was held hostage by one man. He said set on fire everything then the properties of the citizens were set ablaze. He said shut down the city then the whole city was shut down. Today situation has entirely changed”, he remarked.
He underlined Rangers authored history with their blood and they rendered sacrifice of life for the sake of Pakistan. Its credit goes to every Jawan. General Rizwan Akhtar and Gen Bilal Akbar provided leadership. Rangers Sindh conducted 9500 operations in Karachi during three and a half year.
