ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz on Thursday observed that politicians have been facing accountability for decades, from Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy to the present times.
While talking to media outside Federal Judicial Academy after attending hearing of the joint investigation team (JIT) in Panamagate case, Hussain Nawaz said that he recorded his statement before the investigators and thoroughly answered their questions.
Premier’s son complained that the probe committee kept him waiting for some two hours. Nawaz reached the JIT headquarters at around 10:00am and departed after 06:00pm.
Hussain Nawaz said that his counsel was not allowed to accompany him during the interrogation. Whether his answers satisfied the committee or not, is a question that the media should ask the JIT officials, he said in response to a question.
He reiterated his availability to answer further investigation by the JIT and said that he would appear before the committee whenever summoned.
The premier’s son observed that how would the committee prove anything against his family when neither his siblings nor his father had ever committed a crime.
