ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday confirmed that no case had been registered against social activist Salman Haider after he was recovered.
The agency, in a statement said that they had received an application to file a case against Haider but no decision had yet been made on whether would be charged, with an initial evaluation of the application being considered. The agency mentioned that the application had been submitted by a person named Ahtasham.
Salman Haider, a social activist and blogger who had reportedly been charged by the FIA for allegedly committing blasphemy on social media, went missing from the capital earlier this month but returned home on January 28.
