ISLAMABAD: Myanmar Ambassador Win Naing on Monday met with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi for the final time during his tenure.
Fatemi appreciated the ambassador’s positive contribution to the development of Pakistan-Myanmar relations. He underscored the need to further develop relations between the two countries given their potential noting that these diplomatic relations were one of the oldest for Pakistan dating back to 1947.
Win Naing, during the meeting, highlighted the democratic transition in his country and the progress made since then.
Fatemi wished Naing success in his future assignments and stated that he was looking forward to working with his successor to further broaden ties between the two nations
