NAUDERO: A ‘grand jirga’ was held at Shahdadkot to decide the murder case of one person who was killed around 23 years ago.
The Jirga case was decided by Nadir Magsi late on Friday night. In 1994, four people were gunned down in Pir Jo Goth village during a robbery attempt over a shop.
Those who were killed included Abdul Haleem Morio, Rasul Bux Shaikh, Murad Ali Khokhar and Maula Bux Kookari whereas Ghulam Murtaza Kalhoro was injured.
The jirga was held to only decide the murder case of HaleemMorio and injury to Ghulam Murtaza Kalhoro.
Accused party, Muhammad Sachal Tunio, was fined Rs2.6 million out of which Rs1.8 million was compensation for the murder of Morio and rupees eight lakhs compensation for injured Kalhoro.
Accused Sachal Tunio is serving life term in the prison and his relatives participated in the jirga. The accused party will pay the amount in three instalments. The decision was accepted by both the parties.
