SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman Syed Ali Gilani has said that instead of accepting Kashmir as a disputed territory, India is hell-bent upon suppressing the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom with its military might.
Syed Ali Gilani, while commenting on Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s ‘tourism or terrorism’ remarks asked him not to compare Kashmir with Indian state of Gujarat.
In his speech, Narendra Modi asked the Kashmiri youth to choose either terrorism or tourism.
The APHC chairman said, “We have only two options: either to surrender or to resist till victory. We are facing worst type of Hindu terrorism and Delhi administration instead of acknowledging the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir is gagging our voice.”
Kashmir is the oldest unresolved international conflict in the world today, and the people of the territory are facing miseries and agonies due to this unresolved issue, he added.
Referring to assertions made my Narendra Modi, which he gave in Udhampur while inaugurating a tunnel, Syed Ali Gilani said, “Modi didn’t even mention the basic reasons behind stone-pelting phenomenon. We will never give up our struggle till we achieve freedom. Distorting facts won’t help change the basic concept of the Kashmir dispute.”
“Tunnels and roads can’t be substitute for freedom, nor development works, roads and tunnels can lure our youth as they are striving for a great cause,” the APHC chairman said, adding that Kashmir is quite different from Gujarat and UP and the people of Kashmir should not be taken for a ride.
“One million Indian forces’ personnel are inflicting brutalities, however it didn’t work as the Kashmiri people, particularly the youth are determined to carry the ongoing struggle to its logical end,” he said.
