ISLAMABAD: In Occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani has said that India’s colonial and despotic approach has failed to change the historical realities about the Kashmir dispute despite use of all inhuman tactics by New Delhi in the held territory.
In a statement in Srinagar on Tuesday, he rejected any bilateral dialogue with Indian authorities and demanded that the dispute should be resolved as per relevant resolutions of the United Nations (UN). He maintained that the situation in Kashmir is worsening with each passing day due to an unrealistic approach by India.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Maulana Abbas Ansari in their separate statements have welcomed the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Kashmir.
Addressing the public gatherings in Srinagar and Anantnag, Hurriyet leaders, Zafar Akbar Butt and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said that India is ruining the future of Kashmiri youth under a well designed conspiracy.
Meanwhile, Indian Election Commission has cancelled the sham parliamentary by-elections for Islamabad constituency of Held Kashmir scheduled to be held on 25th of this month.
