ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman onWednesday visited the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Qadri. It is a forward operating base in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and the Air Chief Marshal flew an exercise mission in a Mirage aircraft.
Interacting with the PAF personnel at the base, the air chief said that the nation should not be worried about the threatening statements of the enemy. He asserted thatthe PAF and other defence forces were ever ready to take on all kinds of challenges with operational preparedness and immaculate synergy. However, he warned, “We, as a nation, are a peace loving people but if subjected to any kind of misadventure, the adversary will have to face a befitting response.”
Talking about PAF’s role in operation Zarb-e-Azb and operation Radd-ul-Fassad, he highlighted that PAF had accomplished all tasks with zero collateral damage.
Referring to the JF-17 fighter jet, he said that the aircraft had been indigenously manufactured in Pakistan. The technology of the JF-17 Thunder was being consistently improved to bring it at par with its contemporaries. “It is a matter of pride for us that we have increased the production of JF-17 Thunder by threefold in the past couple of years.”
