PESHAWAR: The provincial president of All Pakistan Agriculture Produce Traders Federation (APAPTF), Malik Sohni, has said that the fruit and vegetable prices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are nominal and much lesser than those in other provinces of the country.
He said that fruit and vegetable prices in the province were determined by the district administration; therefore the people belonging to the lower and middle classes could easily afford them. The traders of the fruits and vegetables in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were determined to give relief to the poor and follow the rules and regulations regarding the price control list, he added. It is pertinent to mention here that the statement of the provincial president came after the campaign on the social media to avoid purchasing fruits for three days due to their high prices in the holy month.
However, the provincial president did not mention the social media campaign, but requested the public for cooperation.
