ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb has said that there will be accountability of everybody and now nobody can escape accountability, saying that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif set an example by appearing in Joint Investigation Team (JIT), on Friday.
Maryam said that Sharif family will get justice from Supreme Court according to constitution and law. She was expressing these views in an interview. She said that journalists always supported the truth and democracy. She said that the stance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is looking changed since 2013.
She said that PTI set a tradition of negative behaviour by ending the culture of decency, saying that PTI has now started criminal activities of attacking the people after attacking the institutions. She said that the prime minister set an example by appearing in Joint Investigation Team (JIT), saying that the prime minister wants that everything should be made public. She said that the PTI changed its standpoint on its every statement and tried to spread chaos which is not appropriate.
She said that she was talking to media when a woman Uzma came to her and started dropping mikes as according to her I had taken more time, saying that this was legal and constitutional right of mine like Pakistanis. The minister said that the prime minister appeared before the JIT while people belonging to the PTI are running from Supreme Court and high court, saying that people will have to know who is doing what , which is evident from his action.
She said that the PTI spent four years in the sit-ins and containers and they have performed nothing and they have nothing to tell the people, saying that nobody can defeat Prime minister on the basis of performance.
