SWABI: Engineer Amir Muqam, Advisor to Prime Minister on Tuesday alleged that the pointers of offshore companies should stop making hollow noise and let the Supreme Court to decide the case of Panama Papers leaks.
Amir Muqam was addressing a public meeting at Bamkhel village. The gathering was organized in the honour of Fazal Ahad Bacha who quit Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz along with supporters. Fazal Ahad had contested 2013 election from PK-35, Swabi-V and got over 8000 votes.
Amir Muqam said that the Panama Papers case has been used by Imran to acquire cheap popularity at the cost of the country progress and prosperity but the people have rejected the opportunist policies of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leadership.
The PML-N leader said that the case about Panama Papers case has been under way in the apex court but the PTI leadership continued the allegations game instead waiting for the the court verdict.
“Everybody knows that Imran Khan, PTI’s Chairman is pioneers of the offshore companies and he even admitted,” he said, adding, “However, despite that he did not give up the blame game against the elected Prime Minister.”
First Imran Khan’s party failed to provide adequate evidence to the Supreme Court and now indulging in the politics of baseless allegations, he said, adding that the case is underway in the court and legal procedures would reach its conclusion very soon.
He alleged that if analyzed the policies of the PTI leadership and their protest politics it had turned crystal clear that Imran and his group was the main hurdle to the progress and prosperity of the country because they adopted the politics of unabated confrontation and agitation.
He questioned why he was addressing the public meeting because a leader who was supporting Imran now longer remain in his caravan and joined the PML-N, rejecting the hollow slogans of change and progress.
He predicted that more leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf would join the PML-N in due course of time.
The League government had succeeded in extracting the country out of the menace of terrorism and till completion of its constitutional tenure there would be no energy crisis. The league also boosted the country economy.
In a clear reference to provincial minister Shahram Khan’s Tarakai family he said that some leaders elected by the people of the district had only pocketed their salary and availed other facilities but forgot the people who voted them into power.
MPA Shiraz Khan and district president of the party Iftikhar Ahmad Khan also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile the district police have arrested two people and recovered from them 10 liters wine and 4000 gram charas here on Tuesday.
The arrested persons were identified as Nasir Ali and Said Faiaz. They belong to Zaida city and were involved in selling of contraband while supply the same through their agents to various localities.
The police have registered the case and started investigations.
