KARACHI: At least three men, who had allegedly used police disguises to rob people in the Rizvia area, were arrested by forces on Thursday.
According to the Central Police Senior Superintendent, forces of the police had apprehended three fraudsters and recovered pistols, police uniforms, police caps and a vehicle with a fake number plate from Jahangirabad in Rizvia. The suspects were identified as Salman Khan, Sajan Ali and Wajahat Hussain.
In a separate incident, unidentified assailants opened fire on a Karachi University professor’s husband. The Karachi University Teachers` Society president paid a visit to the injured and condemned the incident.
Additionally, a man was killed in an accident near Faisal base.
Police also arrested a drug peddler in Ittehad Town and seized almost one kilogramme of narcotics from his possession.
