CHAKWAL: Police on Monday arrested eleven gamblers from Buchal Kalan village, who were allegedly involved in gambling on cockfights.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Badar Muneer, acting on a tip, raided the crime scene and apprehended 11 gamblers.
The police recovered over Rs 23,000 cash from their possession and other valuables including five mobile phones, eight motorcycles and a car, while some gamblers managed to escape from the scene. The police registered a case and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, in another operation, police arrested an Afghan national Gul Khan, who was residing illegally in Ransial Village. The police registered a case and sent him to the judicial lockup.
