TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN: The Lawyers of Tando Muhammad district bar association held a protest on Wednesday demanding a change in the name of the newly constructed bridge over River Indus. They wanted it to be referred to as Jinnah Bridge. The newly constructed bridge was named Aga Khan Bridge by the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The lawyers, led by district bar president Hakim Memon and others, said that since the bridge connects Mula Katiar at Tando Muhammad Khan with Jherk town (the birthplace of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah or, the father of the nation), it is he who must be honored with the naming of this new bridge and not Aga Khan.
