LAHORE: Fatima Memorial Hospital’s (FMH) Nephrology department held a kidney camp on ‘World Kidney Day’ to create awareness among the general public on kidneys’ importance for our overall health and to reduce the number of kidney diseases.
All the patients were clinically diagnosed and given free consultation by specialists in the field.
To meet the growing needs of patients, Fatima Memorial Hospital has been providing clinical evaluation of all kinds of kidney diseases and Heamo-dialysis to patients suffering from kidney diseases through its dialysis center- operational since 2004. For quality control, international standard sterilisation is maintained at the hospital. The instruments used in this department are fully sterilised and machines are regularly disinfected as per the requirements. The staff ensures safe, healthy and protective treatment.
Most patients are dialysed twice a week, which takes around 8 hours per week and certain dialysis machines have been dedicated exclusively for Hepatitis C patients. Around 7,000 dialysis are done annually at FMH, out of which 50 percent are either free of cost or at subsidised rates.
