LAHORE: Prices of chicken and vegetables have gone up in the provincial capital with tomato rates hitting a new peak.
Tomato, which was selling at Rs 80 per kg the other day, reached Rs 100 on Sunday. Same is the case with chicken, which is being sold at a rate of Rs 250 per kg.
It may be mentioned that no price lists have been displayed by sellers in order to demand rates of their own choice.
The price hike is also witnessed in other cities amid no regulation by authorities concerned, while the government has also kept mum over the public’s miseries.
