LAHORE: Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Medical & Dental College‘s (SKZMDC) Arts Society hosted its first ever intercollegiate arts festival on 10th April 2017.
The event was held in the college located in Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, Lahore. Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Chairman and Dean Prof Dr Farid Ahmed Khan was the chief guest.
This event comprised of a live arts competition consisting of on-spot sketching, painting and photography; an exhibition consisting of sketching, painting and photography exhibition, a pets show, a GPS based treasure hunt, a fun booths section – consisting of many games and fun activities – and a food court section consisting of many booths where students sell their home-made food items.
Prof Dr Farid Ahmad Khan appreciated the efforts of organisers for holding the 1st ever Intercollegiate Arts Festival in SKZMDC and said that these festivals provide a platform for the students where they can show their creative skills, which increase their level of self-confidence in every sphere of life.
The judges for the competitions were Lahore Arts Council Deputy Director Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, Punjab University College of Arts and Design former principal Dr Rahat Naveed Masud, Aitchison College former head of arts department Saira Dar and Irfan Ahson, a famous photographer of Pakistan.
More than 500 students participated from different colleges of Pakistan.
