ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his two sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, asking them to fully cooperate with the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) during probe into charges that Sharif family had hidden assets through offshore tax havens.
According to sources, the notices were issued through Secretary to Prime Minister and Advocate on Record.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has sent the copies of its verdict of Panamagate Case to six state entities for nomination of their representatives for the JIT probe against Sharifs.
The apex court has sent copies of the verdict to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Accountability Bureau (NAB), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI).
The court has also asked all concerned departments to give the names of their nominees to the court within seven days.
Copies of the verdict have been forwarded to the Establishment Division and Attorney General as well.
The committee will submit its progress report in the court fortnightly. The JIT will also be bound to finalise its probe and submit its complete report within 60 days.
