LONDON: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that Begum Kulsoom’s condition was deteriorating due to infection.
While talking to the media outside Harley Street Clinic, the former premier said that the infection was a setback for his wife’s already unstable condition.
He added that “Doctors are trying their best but everything rests with Allah, if He will then everything will be fine within a second.”
Sharif extended his prayers, stating that he was praying for the health of those suffering like his wife.
Earlier on Monday, Nawaz and daughter Maryam were granted exemption from court appearances for four more days so they can extend their stay in London.
Nawaz upon being questioned about Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Qamar-ul-Islam’s arrest, stated that it was an upsetting news that had saddened him, adding that he’ll get the details later on.
On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz remarked that all she cared for right now was her mother’s health rather than general elections or politics.
Praying for her mother’s recovery, Maryam remarked that “there are times in your life when relations take precedence over everything else.”
Begum Kulsoom Nawaz has been under treatment for throat cancer since the previous year in Harley Street Clinic. However, her condition has been unstable and on life support since June 14, after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
