KARACHI: Two women were injured when attackers, to whom they had refused marriage, tossed a hand grenade into their house in Landhi on Tuesday.
The two sisters Samreen Baloch and Sanam Baloch were critically injured due to the attack and have been under treatment at Jinnah Hospital.
Their family members stated that one of the suspects, Sajid, was a drug addict and belonged to the Lyari gang. A family member Allah Bachiyo said that the attackers had earlier threatened him.
Violent attacks are on the rise in the city. Two police officials and a man died when unknown men attacked a police station near Five Star Chowrangi. A policeman was also shot dead at Rashid Minhas Road earlier this month.
