SAHIWAL: While addressing a rally on Sunday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan wished that United States (US) President Donald Trump bans visas for Pakistan nationals.
The PTI chief prayed that visas for Pakistanis are banned by Trump-led administration, citing a Muslim girl’s torture in the US due to her religion as his reason.
He said that if our administration was better, Pakistan would have been in a position to deny visas to US citizens like Iran has done. Imran said that it was possible that Pakistanis are denied United States (US) visas. Criticising the acceptance of loans from international bodies, Imran asserted that PTI’s government would never accept ‘alms.’
Imran also said that the Panama case is historic as, for the first time, the ruling family is being held accountable in Pakistan. He said that they will fully support the Supreme Court’s decision, but will never accept the corruption by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family.
“No family has spoken as many lies as the Sharif family,” he remarked adding that they have unleashed their advisers to make excuses which will cause more harm than good.
He said that Pakistan is blessed with immense resources and can become a prosperous nation, but still, state institutions are suffering from enormous financial losses.
“Qatri business partners are providing them letters, but they are totally fake,” he said, while lambasting the Sharif family over Panama Papers scandal.
PTI chief said that the provincial government has improved education and health sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Around 34,000 students of private schools have shifted to the government schools in the province, according to Khan.
He said that PTI, when it would assume power, will strengthen farmers and make their businesses self-sufficient. He claimed that the institutions of Pakistan are not independent and not even a Station House Officer (SHO) of police is appointed unless ‘Raiwind orders.’
“KP has hydrocarbon reserves in abundance but the federal government signs LNG import pacts to pocket commission,” he said. Imran said that the people of the country are its biggest assets and every decision made should be in their interest.
Imran also warned Indian PM Narendra Modi, saying that every Pakistani is not like Nawaz Sharif and will take appropriate action if necessary. However, he said that overwhelming number of Indians do not want war but rather peace with Pakistan.
