LAHORE: Acting on a tip-off, Lahore CTD raided a place near Quaid-e-Azam Interchange Ring Road Lahore and arrested two militants, allegedly belonging to banned organisation.
They were planning to attack law agencies’ personnel in Lahore. The militants are identified as Qari Ahmad and Muhammad Israr Shafiq. Both were planning to leave for Syria after conducting their attack.
The Team recovered an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) and hand grenades from their possession, along with Daesh motivation literature.
A case was registered and investigation is underway.
