ISLAMABAD: During the next 24 hours, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
In a few places of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, light rain with light snowfall over the hills, is expected.
According to the Meteorological Office, foggy conditions during morning hours are likely to prevail at a few places in the plain areas of Punjab.
The temperature recorded on Thursday in various cities was as follows; Islamabad 7 °C; Lahore 9°C; Karachi 15°C; Peshawar 11°C; Quetta 1°C; Gilgit and Murree 3°C; Muzaffarabad 6°C; Skardu -10°C; Parachinar -8°C; Astore -7°C; Kalat, Gupis and Chitral -6°C; Kalam, Drosh and Malam Jabba -4°C; Bagrot; Dir -3°C and Zhob -2°C.
The rain recorded in several cities of Pakistan included; Balakot and Mirkhani 7mm; Pattan 4mm; Chillas, Dir and Drosh 2mm; Gilgit-Baltistan 1mm; Kashmir and Muzaffarabad 1mm.
Snowfall recorded in areas included; Astore 6.5 inches; Kalam 1.5 inches and Hunza 0.7 inches.
