ISLAMABAD: The government has deplored the latest missile test conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), calling it a violation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions.
The Foreign Office released a statement saying that Pakistan called upon the DPRK to refrain from any step that undermined the prospects of regional peace and stability.
He added that Pakistan had consistently supported a nuclear weapons-free Korean Peninsula, as agreed by all parties.
The government also called upon the DPRK to refrain from actions which run counter to the objective of reaching a peaceful and diplomatic solution to the issue within the framework of the six party talks.
