ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has said that Nawaz Sharif has made all the institutions subservient to him.
While speaking to media personnel on Wednesday, Fawad said that according to remarks of Attorney General of Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf, Supreme Court of Pakistan should not even think of taking action against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the court is not entitled to disqualify any Member of National Assembly.
He further said that in principle, the attorney general is a representative of the federation, however, in Panama case he gave arguments in favour of Nawaz Sharif.
Fawad Chaudhry said, “Attorney general said that Hudaibiya Paper Mills loan and accounts were used to retire loans of Al Taufiq. AG also said state of Pakistan and NAB will not file appeal in respect of Hudaibiya Paper Mills case while Ishaq Dar Ishaq Dar has sent abroad a sum of Rs 1.2 billion.”
He added that all the regulatory institutions were running on the money of tax payers, but Nawaz Sharif made them non-operational, while the hands of functional bodies were tied by Nawaz Sharif.
PTI leader Arif Alvi said that the attorney general is to give independent advice to the court in legal complications. He said, “Ashtar Ausaf kept on giving arguments to save PM on Wednesday.”
