ISLAMABAD: National Assembly speaker Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq has summoned a parliamentary parties’ leaders meeting today in Parliament House to discuss the matter of extension of military courts.
During the meeting, the proposals put forth by the PPP on the revival of military courts will be deliberated upon.
The government draft bill on constitutional amendment will be placed before all the leaders of the parliamentary parties while PPP will put up its nine proposals before the parliamentary parties in the meeting.
Sources said government has given an indication to PPP for acceptance of some of its proposals. Government will take a decision on PPP’s proposals after taking all the parliamentary parties into confidence.
