LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senior central leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif got issued an incomplete notification under a well-conceived plan in the news leaks, and tried to undermine the army.
Talking to a lawyers’ delegation at his residence here on Monday, he said this has not happened for the first time, as he (PM) never let an opportunity to tease the army go by. Former deputy prime minister Elahi said that the army is in a state of war both within and outside Pakistan. He asked how the army could remain silent over leakage of a national secret from the Prime Minister’s House. “There is unrest and concern in the army from top to bottom,” he said. He said that the nation was justified in demanding that real “culprits” behind leakage of a national secret be exposed and given exemplary punishment.
