SHIKARPUR: Population Department, RBUT Hospital’s RHSA Centre Shikarpur marked World Population Day. In this connection a march took place which passed through various routes culminated at Lakhi Gate Clock Tower.
The population of Pakistan is on rise therefore national resources besides health, education and other facilities have become incompatible to meet these needs of the population. Government wants to control the population, speakers at the rally emphasized.
Zahid Hussain Katpar, District Population Welfare Officer and Dr Kazi Khursheed Ahmed District Health Officer and representative of RHSA participated in the rally.
They urged the people of Shikarpur to play their role to control the population in order to keep them away from facing economic hardships. In this regard population department Shikarpur set up 3 RHSA centers, 3 MSU centres and 40 welfare centres across city to provide health facilities.
