SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party Member National Assembly Dr Syeda Nafeesa Shah Jillani has said government was mobilising all available resources to address problems of common man.
Addressing at cheque distribution ceremony to poor communities at Naz Pilot Secondary School Khairpur, organized by Peoples Welfare Trust she said that government was striving to provide advanced healthcare facilities to needy. She said establishment of a blood bank and thallassaemia centre are of great benefit to people of Khairpur, Sukkur, Naushehro Feroze, Shikarpur and remote areas of interior Sindh.
Blood bank and thallassaemia centre were set up on ground and first floor in complex at a cost of Rs 16.7 million, while second floor would be used for extension of Red Crescent Medical Complex.
She said PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilwal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah were keen to bring about improvement in living standard of people.
She said strengthening democracy and welfare of common people has been basic agenda of Sindh government.
Earlier, she distributed over 50 cheaques of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 among heart and thallassaemia patients besides poor from MNA fund.
