DERA BUGTI: Nine militants, including their commander Wadero Abdullah, laid down their arms in Dera Bugti on Saturday.
According to sources, they were allegedly involved in attacks on security forces and anti-state activities. “They have now pledged to work for the safety and security of Pakistan as they have realised that enemies of the country were working to destabilise Balochistan,” added sources.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kumar, son of former Senator Heman Das was freed safely 108 days after his abduction. According to details his release was the result of the efforts by tribal elders. He was brought to Dera Murad Jami by tribal leader Shaukat Bangulzai and others. His release sent a wave of happiness among relatives and the Hindu community. Hindus also held special prayers at their temples after hearing the news.
His father Heman Das, former president of the PTI Minority Wing Sanjay Kumar Panjwani and others thanked the political and tribal leaders as well as the ulemas for their efforts in release of Vicky Kumar.
